    Watch: Heavy rain, windstorm wreak havoc, old Jamia tree uprooted, wall caves in

    Okhla residents got relief from hot and humid day on Monday evening when heavy rain and thunderstorm with the gusty wind uprooted trees in some areas.

    Traffic movement was also hit hard as resident returning home from office faced hardship. An iconic Peepal tree at the Faculty of Humanities of Language in Jamia Millia Islamia got uprooted. A portion of a wall of Dr Zakir Hussain mausoleum & museum collapsed leading to traffic jam with people coming from Ghafoor Nagar being informed to divert their journey to avoid gridlock.
