Organised by Jamaat-E-Islami (Hind) women wing, the event attracted residents from the locality, who turned up in large number to relish the moment and purchase items.

“We noticed that many women were hit hard by pandemic. So to help such women, we planned to organise such events to encourage women to sell and showcase their items. Many among them are those who work from home or online and they have come here to place their products. The turnout is overwhelming,” said Nuzhat Yasmeen, Delhi Zone secretary.

Many young women entrepreneurs were also seen at one-day event. Yasmeen Shahi, who is into making homemade soap, said she works from home and our product is online and we also are into home delivery.

Interior designer Nida Habeeba said she has put sura canvas corner. “I also organise art class for children,” she said.

Entrepreneur Hind, who gave only one name, said she is a calligrapher and painter. Roshi Anjum is into selling of Bhopal suits in Okhla.

Residents, who turned up at the spot, said it is a good move to encourage entrepreneurship among women.
