Delhiites told to wear mask in public places as cases rise

With Covid positive cases rising in Delhi with city reporting more than 100 cases on Sunday, many residents have urged Okhla residents to wear mask in public place and avoid crowded places to stay safe.

Save community journalism by paying Rs 500, 1,000 and more.

Cases are rising as highly transmissible Amicron too raising its tentacles and it has been noticed that a large number of people are not wearing masks in public places, said Rizwan Khan.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said our safety is in our own hands and requested people to wear a mask in public places.

He said: “With folded hands I request and appeal to each and every resident to please wear their masks at all times in public places. We’ve seen how people have reduced the use of masks in markets. Our safety is in our own hands and masks are the best defence to Covid. Everyone must take the situation seriously and start wearing masks again.”
