In this series, citizens can get C&D waste and debris removed by tweeting their grievances to SDMC’S official Tweeter Handle @OfficialSdmc.

The SDMC team will reach the area/spot and will ensure removal of C&D waste and debris. Through this initiative, SDMC has aimed to address such issues/grievances in a speedy manner, it said.

In South Zone, Swachhta Awareness Programme was organised in Vasant Kunj’s J J Bandhu Camp. Beautiful and attractive pictures, made by children, were fixed on walls of the area, it said.

Messages related to Swachhta and segregation of waste were given through these pictures.

SDMC’s Brand Ambassador Ameena Talwar encouraged children and asked them to carry forward messages related to Swachhta among parents and family members.

In Central Zone, massive Swachhta Programme was organised at Harijan Camp, Lodhi Road in collaboration with ITC WOW and college students. Posters and pamphlets carrying message related to importance of waste segregation were also distributed to citizens.

In West Zone, Swachhta Awareness Campaign was organised in Nangal Rai area where shopkeepers and area residents were educated about segregation of dry and wet waste at source level and say no to Single Use Plastic, it said.
