Traffic jam at Kalindi Kunj-Abul Fazal Enclave road starting from thokar number 5, said a resident who got stuck in the traffic gridlock. He said the situation was such that even there was no space for pedestrians.

In a video, which he shared with the OT from the ground zero one can see that in desperate bid to reach home some daily commuters started going wrong side leading to jam. For residents of Jamia Nagar, traffic jam has now become a daily thing and they blame it for roadside encroachment and illegal parking of vehicles.

Be it Zakir Nagar or Batla House, Shaheen Bagh or Okhla Head, once can get stuck in jam due to even a minor error by a resident. It has been found that many a time a breakdown of vehicle also leads to traffic snarl. It was only a few days ago when the OT had run a story about how residents were stuck in jam for minutes at Okhla Head due to bus breakdown.

Residents have been demanding traffic signals so that commuters can be manned and even reprimanded and fined for wrong side driving. With divider on Batla House and other road it has been seen that many residents in effort to reach home or their destination early go wrong side, leading to traffic snarl.
