    Jamia to train all its pre-primary and elementary school teachers for online teaching and assessment

    After successfully training its secondary and senior secondary school teachers on ‘online teaching and assessment’, Jamia Millia Islamia is organising a three-day online workshop from 21st to 23rd July,2020 to train all 101 Pre-Primary and Elementary School Teachers of the schools run by the university.

    The workshop is being organised by the Department of Educational Studies, JMI and will be inaugurated by the JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar.

    The teachers will be trained in creation and dissemination of e-contents, alternative online strategies using online platforms for conducting online classes, Google meet, Google classroom, Google tools for education, availability of open educational resources and open textbooks, NROER, ePathshala and other OER platforms, how they can be adopted and adapted and also online assessment.

    Experts from various premier organizations such as CIET, NCERT DIET which are working in the field of educational technology and information communication technology for school education and teacher education will be training the participants.

    Two leading schools “G D Goenka Public School” and “Salwan Montessori School” will also be sharing their teaching and assessment strategies during this workshop.

    The first three-day online workshop was organised from 6th to 8th July, 2020 to train secondary and senior secondary level school teachers.
