Former Okhla Congress MLA Asif Md Khan has reached Tayyab Masjid in Shaheen Bagh and said he will sit in protest. He alleged that he has been forced to take this step as he was informed that after Khutba a announcement was made in the mosque by some resident to support AAP Councillor candidate Wajid Khan.

When asked to present proof, like video or something, he said he has nothing like this in his possession. Till the filing of the report, he was stationed at Tayyab Masjid with his supporters and addressing them, giving explanation for starting the sit-in.

The OT is trying to authenticate Asif’s claims and has withheld several videos from the spot being shared in the virtual world by Congress supporters.

Wajid couldn’t be reached over the development. His close aide Saud Khan said he was not aware of any such development.

Asif is demanding FIR against the person who he said allegedly made the announcement from the mosque during Friday prayer in support of Wajid today.
