    47-year-old Sikandar no more, laid to rest in Batla House graveyard

    A Pall of gloom descends on this part of Johri Farm after 47-year-old Sikandar Alam died on Thursday in a road accident, according to a family friend.

    Alam’s friend Faiyaz said he was laid to rest in Batla House graveyard after Friday prayer.
    He was a businessman and died in a road accident. Two people were going on car, he said.

    “Two of them met with the road accident with one person sustaining minor injuries. Alam got his rib fractured and sustained head injury. He passed away. The accident happened near Ajmer on Mumbai road on February 15. His body reached Johri Farm at 4.30 am today,” said Faiyaz.

    From Azamgarh in UP, Alam has been residing in Okhla for years. His death is a great loss, he said.

    He has left behind 2 daughters, 1 son with the eldest one studying in Class 10th.
