    Delhi sees sharp rise in Covid cases in 24 hours, highest in 6 months, 1 death; life goes as usual

    The sharp rise in Covid cases in Delhi after the arrival of Omicron has left many in Okhla concerned. Delhi reported 107 new cases in the past 24 hours on Sunday, according to the Delhi health bulletin.

    The number crossing 100 is being touted as the highest in last six months as all these days the number of positive cases was below hundred. Delhi also reported one death and and 50 recoveries.

    The positivity rate is at 0.17 per cent.

    Delhi had reported 86 new Covid cases on Saturday.

    Delhi has also reported Omicron cases and till now 22 cases of highly infectious variant, Omicron has been reported. Of 22 cases, twelve came on Friday.
