Residents said the collision took place when the woman on a scooty was trying to take left turn towards Abul Fazal Enclave coming from Nai Basti and a biker who was trying to take over going straight collided. However, as both were driving very slowly nothing happened and after a few seconds of altercation both went their way, said residents.

Rash driving is very common in the locality, said one resident Syed Aqueel, adding that due to which at times major accidents have taken place in the locality with people even losing their lives. It was a few months ago when a young boy had died after meeting with a road accident on Jamia Millia Islamia road. The other rider had also sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident, but recovered lately after weeks of treatment at government hospital.

At times it has been noticed, according to residents, that people in rush to reach home, drive rashly leading to road accidents and even deaths.
