Amanatullah gets down to work, shares photos of road being built

Days after rout in Okhla with AAP just winning one seat in Okhla’s five wards, AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan has got down to work in a jiffy. On Friday, he shared several photos on his timeline saying work of road building has begun in Jogabai Extension, Zakir Nagar lane and D block Abul Fazal Enclave.

Following the posting, residents of Okhla welcomed the move. It appears that Amanatullah has realised that road to victory is work, said one resident, adding that many people were unhappy with the MLA for inordinate delay in completing sewer work with many dug-up roads left unattended causing hardship to residents.

After the party’s poor performance in Okhla’s five wards, once the bastion of AAP’s Amanatullah, now many Congress supporters and residents have started talking about the MLA’s waning popularity and some are convinced that he might even lose election if basic amenities in Okhla don’t improve.

Some have questioned the delay in MCD piped supply water in the locality. Residents said in many places like Okhla Vihar, piped water was laid years ago, and the water supply is yet to come.

The OT has tried to call him to get his feedback on the AAP loss in the locality but he was not reachable. Whenever he agrees for an interview, it will be telecast on the portal.
