Okhla Press Club journalists launch drive for stickers on road dividers to avert accidents

Members of the Okhla Press Club launched a drive for putting stickers on road dividers to avert accidents on the eve of its formation day on Sunday in Abul Fazal Enclave.

Earlier in the day, several journalists and members of the Press Club participated in the event of the formation of the OPC, floated by NDTV journalist Munne Bharti, also known as Atharuddin.

According to Munne, several journalists were honoured at the event.

Later, journalists placed stickers on the dividers in Abul Fazal Enclave. It is understood that these stickers will be placed on dividers across the locality to avert road accidents.

Residents have lamented that driving on the lane at night and early morning becomes extremely difficult due to dark spots, and at times, several cases have surfaced of vehicles hitting the dividers.

A resident said driving at night in areas with dark spots is risky. The situation worsens in winter when there is fog, making it hard to see the divider at night. Residents appreciated the move taken by the journalists and feel that more such initiatives should be taken to make the area safe.
