    Watch: Ramzan moon sighted, Taraweeh begins, fasting from Sunday

    Watch: Ramzan moon sighted, Taraweeh begins, fasting from Sunday

    After the moon was sighted in some parts of India, some netizens even shared the photo of the moon on the social media, the month of fasting is to begin from Sunday.

    Taraweeh has begun from tonight with mosques seeing huge rush as it is for the first time in two years that the month of fasting is to be observed without any restrictions.

    Fatehpuri Masjid Imam Mufti Mukarram Ahmad said the moon was sighted in various parts of the country and Muslims would begin fasting from Sunday.

    Muslim body Imarat-e-Shariyah-Hind also said the moon sighting was verified and Ramzan will begin from Sunday. In Okhla too many people tried to sight the moon.

    Delhi’s Shahi Imam Ahmed Bukhari released a video message in which he said fasting will begin from Sunday and Taraweeh begins tonight.
