    Okhla Vihar resident dies in accident: Family members

    Okhla Vihar resident Md Rafique died after a pole fell on him at a work site in Shram Vihar on Sunday late night, according to family members.

    After the family got the body today, Rafique, 55, was laid to rest in Batla House graveyard after isha prayer, said residents.

    A resident Shakeel said Rafique was working as a guard with some organisation which is into some project work in the locality and during a pole shifting the object lost balance and fell on him. He was rushed to a hospital in Jasola, he said.

    Md Imran, a relative of the deceased, said after he died the body taken to AIMS trauma center for post-mortem. “We came to know about the incident after 1 hour when we were informed by one guard and we rushed and found nobody there,” he said.

    Details collected till now have been sketchy and this story will be updated after the family gets FIR filed in local police station. An activist said other formalities will be completed soon.

    Rafique has left behind four children and a wife.
