A resident said despite being the councilor office being informed about it no concret steps have been taken, said a resident standing close by the open manhole. The manhole is located on the G block road in Abul Fazal Enclave in front of Shan Bakery at G-29.

A resident said it is very risky at night when the spot is dark and chances of bikers, motorists and even passersby falling in the manhole is high. For safety purpose some residents have put bricks inside to avoid any serious injuries to people falling or stepping over it, said a resident.

Besides, residents lamented that the situation of roads dug up for sewer work is in bad shape and the inordinate delay is creating hardship for residents with several cases of people getting minor injuries while walking on uneven road have surfaced.

The OT had reported earlier how a woman while walking on the uneven road had fallen with her toddler receiving minor injuries.
