He wrote on his timeline sharing photos: “Today, I met Flood and Irrigation Department Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and senior officers. In this meeting the budget was passed for constructing roads in Madanpur Khadar, Abul Fazal Enclave, Shaheen Bagh and Old Zakir Nagar.”

His post solicited several comments in which netizens congratulated him. For the last many months residents of these areas have been demanding for construction of roads.

Zakir Nagar residents had also been raising the issue of bad roads in their locality.

Besides, Shaheen Bagh and Abul Fazal Enclave residents too have raised the issue. Many residents lamented that the entry of the road in AFE is in bad shape with several potholes. Residents said even there are many patches where the road condition is not good and need immediate attention.

It is not known when work for the constructing these roads will begin but the post has come as a ray of hope for many residents who have been demanding good roads in the locality.
