    Schools for Classes I-VIII shut in Noida on Friday due to rain forecast

    Schools are being shut in Noida and Greater Noida for Classes I to VIII on Friday after heavy rain on Thursday.

    Also, the announcement has been made following forecast of more rain in the coming two to three days.

    The District administration of the Gautam Buddh Nagar district declared Thursday that school for classes I to VIII will remain shut on Friday because of the heavy rainfall, reported IE.

    A TOI journalist Shafaque Alam covering Noida tweeted one hour ago: “Classes I-VIII to remain closed on Friday due to heavy rain forecast.

    ABP Live reported that Noida schools for Classes 1-8 to remain shut on Friday due to rain.

    Gautam Budh Nagar district administration said Classes I-VIII in all schools will remain shut on Friday due to heavy rain forecast.

    Rakesh Chauhan, district information officer, said: “These classes in schools affiliated to all boards will remain closed on Friday.”

    “On September 23, all schools from class 1 to 8 in the district would remain closed,” District School Inspector Dharamveer Singh said, according to an official statement issued on Thursday night.

    Parents also received message late night from their school. “Dear parents as per the DM’s order school will remain closed tomorrow (Friday) for Classes nursery to 8…”, read a message from a Noida school.
