In a FB post of Delhi Police Public Library, Nadeem photo with the award being given by Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana is shared.

Over the years, the library has added more features going high-tech. Its 10 years foundation day was celebrated a few days ago. On the foundation day celebration on February 22, Asthana also inaugurated a new police public library at the Okhla Vihar Metro Station in Abul Fazal Enclave through video conferencing from Vimarsh Auditorium, PHQ, Delhi.

This is the second Delhi Police public library in Jamia Nagar and third in Delhi. The first police public library was opened in Jamia Nagar police station in 2012 and today its 10th foundation day was celebrated at the station.  Besides 2 police libraries in Jamia Nagar, one library operates in RK Puram police stations.

“It helps to give youth the right direction and better opportunities. Community participation is essential for effective policing… All police stations of Delhi will have similar facilities in the coming three years,” said Asthana.
