They said the garbage dump in the back lane has ruined the outer beauty of Al-Habeeb Masjid in G-Block, Shaheen Bagh. A few years ago it was a small mosque but after getting land construction to expand is on.

Local residents said it is sad to see how insensitive some people area and don’t even think twice before dumping garbage in front of a mosque just to save a few bucks. What has come as a surprise that nobody has yet come forward to get things address, said a resident on the condition of anonymity, adding that this is the situation across the locality as residents dump garbage with impunity.

They buy expensive flats and spend lakh of rupees on interiors but dump garbage outside their house, said a resident, adding that it is a major issue for which religious organsiations and locals need to raise awareness drive to keep their lanes clean.
