    Life threatening open manholes on Batla House, Shaheen Bagh roads

    Local residents said there is a life threatening open manhole on Batla House 20-feet road, leading to vehicles getting stuck and at night time when the spot is dark many residents get hurt after overstepping on the pothole.

    A resident said: “Sewer holes open at 20 foota road in Batla House. It’s been a month like this and many school vans’ tyre got burst.” Another resident said there are several open manholes in the area and at night if you are not careful while walking or driving then chances are you might fall after overstepping on these open manholes.

    A few days ago my daughter had gone to buy some items from a nearby shop and she overstepped on it and got hurt, he said, she was lucky as the injury was minor. Many residents in the locality have been pointing out about the open manholes in the locality.

    A resident said in Shaheen Bagh the situation is very pathetic as under the high tension wire connecting Aggarwarl Sweet House on 40-feet road has several open huge manholes and surprisingly nobody is bother with business going as usual.

    Residents said immediate action need to be taken to get them covered.
