    Light rain, wind cool down Okhla, improve air quality

    Light rain, wind cool down Okhla, improve air quality

    The maximum temperature in Delhi came down on Friday after light rain and wind. Besides, the air quality also improved. In Okhla also the rain brought down the temperature by a few notches.

    The weather office predicted a further dip in the temperatures. Chances are that rain might lash the city on the weekend too.

    “There will be generally cloudy sky with moderate rain on Saturday and Sunday. The maximum and minimum temperatures on the weekend are likely to hover around 27 and 21 degrees Celsius respectively,” an IMD official said.

    “The capital is likely to witness a generally cloudy sky with light rain on Friday,” an IMD official said.
    As per Central Pollution Control Board data, the 24-hour average AQI in Delhi was recorded at 55, which falls in the “satisfactory” category.
