Laddan gets warm welcome after his release

AAP Okhla leader Kausar Imran Siddiqui alias Laddan, who was arrested in a case related to Delhi Waqf Board, was out on bail on Friday. He got a warm welcome as many of AAP supporters received him. He was sent to 14-day judicial custody, according to a media report on October 3.

A close aide of Laddan told the OT that he went on Friday to receive him with other local residents after he got bail.

Laddan was arrested days after raid on his house in the Waqf Board case from Telangana. A resident of Jogabai Extension, 47-year-old Laddan, was wanted in a case of Arms Act registered against him after a country-made pistol and three live rounds were found in his premises, said police.

“We have apprehended Laddan from Telangana in connection with an FIR registered against him under the Arms Act,” a senior police officer had said, reported indiatvnews.com. Another person arrested in the case Hamid Ali Khan was granted bail earlier.

Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan was also granted bail in case of alleged irregularities in the Waqf Board, with a Delhi court on Wednesday saying there was no loss to the state exchequer.

According to the IE report dated September 29, the court said: “From the said document, it is apparent that tenancies have been created at a higher rent than the reserve price and also the rent is higher than the previous rent being taken from the earlier tenants.”

Also residents, who were arrested for obstructing ACB team at Khan’s residence, are out on bail.
