Good news! You won’t be able to see Abul Fazal Enclave garbage dump anymore

After more than five years, the garbage dump in Abul Fazal Enclave is being barricaded so that the waste dumped on the roadside doesn’t spill over the road. It is so early to make such a claim and for many residents it is better to wait and watch.

The development has evoked mixed reactions form the netizens and local residents with some welcoming it and many demanding end of the dumping of garbage in front of Al-Shifa Hospital and Milli Model Girls’ school claiming that the stench of the garbage will continue to bother residents and daily commuters.

With civic elections just a few months ago, many opposition leaders and facebookya activists nursing political ambition, who had raised the issue in 2017 election and forgotten it after the election results were announced, once again raised the issue on the social media eyeing 2022 local elections, said political watcher.

A few among them also hold peaceful protest with Welfare Party of India members being the latest in the long list of people opposing the dumping of garbage on roadsides.

Also, a video of Councillor Wajid Khan has been doing the rounds where he is heard assuring the residents before being elected to end the mess by closing the dumping of garbage on roadsides.
