    SDMC distributes tablets to 66 meritorious students: Mayor Suryan

    SDMC distributes tablets to 66 meritorious students: Mayor

    Under a new initiative Abhishakti, tablets were distributed to students in West Zone and 66 meritorious students of SDMC schools.

    On this occasion, Mayor Mukesh Suryan said under this new initiative Abhishakti we are providing tablets to the meritorious students of SDMC schools. He said during lockdown online classes are being run by schools and  the education of the students is affected as they do not have mobile or laptop for learning.

    He said the SDMC is collaborating with various private organisations and under CSR fund and we are providing tablets to the students.

    He said in order to ensure continuance of study of the students during corona.

    Standing Committee Chairman Col BK Oberoi said such programmes will be organised in all zones so that mobile phones or tablets can be distributed in all SDMC schools. He appealed to all the social organisations to come forward in this direction and collaborate with the SDMC & provide financial assistance for the better education of students.

    On this occasion chairperson, West Zone, Shweta Saini, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Singh, Councillor Purva Sankla and other officials of the SDMC were also present.
