Also, fire brigade was informed which reached on time and the fire was extinguish. No casualties were reported from the spot, said a resident. The incident took place near Abdul Razzaq Sahab School, Noor Nagar.

The main cause of fire is still not known as investigation is on.

Syed Fouzul Azeem said the residents were lucky that nothing major happened as nobody was hurt in the fire incident. It has come to the knowledge that house owner said money and gold were gutted in the fire.

Azeem said residents need to be very carefully about such incidents. As the road in Noor Nagar where this house is locality is broad the fire brigade reached the spot without much difficulty.

With temperature rising cases of fire due to short circuit are being reported across the city. A few days ago many jhuggis were gutted in the fire in a slum cluster at Joga Bai Extention in the Batla House in which some cattle also died.

Director of Delhi Fire Services Atul Garg then had said the call about the blaze was received at 3:15 pm, following which 11 fire tenders were rushed to the site. No human casualty was reported during the incident.

“Around 35-40 huts had caught fire, which was doused by 4:40 pm,” Garg said.

Five cattle died in the incident, he added.
