Mahfooz, 15, had come to appear for Jamia School entrance exam and after which he went missing, according to his family member. They said it was on May 13 that he went missing and since then never contacted the family.

Several posters were also placed in the locality urging residents to share information about his whereabouts. On Thursday, Mahfooz brother said the family is ready to pay Rs 50,000 reward to those who could help find him.
The family is from Bihar and the family said Mahfooz had come to take admission in Jamia School and was staying with his friend in Nayi Basti.

A police complaint regarding the missing boy has also been filed in the Shaheen Bagh Police Station, said a family member.

Mahfooz brother, who is from another city, said his father too had come to Okhla and stayed in the area for days moving around with his son’s photo but couldn’t find him.

He has left for his hometown despondent, said his brother.

This not first missing case in the locality as residents said from time to time they come to know about it from people.
