    JASA congratulates JMI VC for the election of new Chancellor

    Staff Associations of Jamia Millia Islamia(JMI) have welcomed the decision of Jamia Court (Anjuman) to unanimously elect Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin as the Chancellor of the university for the next five years. Jamia Administrative Staff Association(JASA) in its congratulatory message to JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar said that under her dynamic leadership the decision has been taken and it will help the university in many ways.

    “This is indeed a landmark in the history of Jamia Millia Islamia. It is really heartening to see the happiness and great satisfaction among the members of the Jamia Biradari due to this development, especially in the background of the elevation of Jamia to the A++ level by NAAC. We congratulate you and also to Dr. Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin, Chancellor, JMI.” the letter says.

    JASA further mentions in its message that the association is thankful to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has strongly supported the Vice Chancellor’s vision for the establishment of a Medical College in JMI. The association is also happy to know that the Prime Minister has expressed his willingness to attend the Annual Convocation of the university and the association is looking forward to welcoming him.
