    Jamia’s Faculty of Dentistry to start teleconsultation services in the wake of COVID-19

    The Faculty of Dentistry(FOD), Jamia Millia Islamia is starting consultation via telephone to provide dental services for patients from the safety of their homes. This facility will cater to the oral health needs of all patients especially to the aged, those suffering from other medical conditions and young children who face higher risk by visiting a dental facility .

    In the wake of COVID -19 infections, this service will be of great benefit to the patients.

    These services will start from 16th July 2020 from 9 am to 12 noon on all weekdays (except Sunday and holidays). The mobile number is +91-8595842391. This number is available on WhatsApp also. The photos of the problem can be shared on WhatsApp when asked for by the consulting doctor.

    Prof. Sanjay Singh, Dean, FOD, JMI said, “The tele-consultation will be provided by Senior Professors and experienced faculty members of various dental specialities. We encourage all patients to avail this service”.

    The FOD, JMI has been ranked 19th best dental college in the country by the MHRD’s NIRF-2020.

    This year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) graduates from the FOD, JMI did very well in the national level Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) entrance examination conducted by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). 4 graduates of FOD cleared the entrance test including the 2nd topper.

    A total of 16 graduates from FOD cleared various national level MDS entrance tests this year.
