She said more than 50 people participated enthusiastically in this rally.

“The rally started from Batla House Chawk, and we covered Jamia Jama Masjid Lane, Batla House Market, and A Block Road. In this rally, we discussed dengue symptoms, causes, and prevention by using the 4S (search and destroy, self-protection, seeking early consultation, and supporting fogging). Some of the Jamia students participated and delivered speeches on DO’S and DONT’S to prevent dengue. The programme was conducted because of rapid increase in dengue cases,” she said.

Nazia said she is an alumna of the Access English Microscholarship Programme, which was created by the US Department of State, and they offered me a course called the All India Access Alumni Community Service Project for 3 months, in which 33 students participated in different cities with major area issues.

“I decided to work on a dengue awareness programme, which was a major issue in Delhi, so I started my project with Blue Hills International School, where I have done workshops for class 9 and 10 students to spread awareness about dengue. And then I conducted a rally for Jamia Nagar people. My goal was to spread awareness among people about dengue. I have done door to door interactions also in Batla house to spread awareness to the people directly,” she said.
