Under the fresh plan, e-rickshaws will not be allowed to ply from 4 pm to 11 pm inside Batla House main market road, meaning that residents will have to get down at Batla House graveyard and walk to the market so that overcrowding is avoided.

In a video message, the SHO Jamia Nagar Police Station urged residents to cooperate police to decongest the area during Ramzan. He said action will be taken against those who drive wrong side creating traffic jam.

Sudhar Trust head told the OT over phone that market has been allowed to open and hotels permitted to function Ramzan for sehri also.

Many residents have noticed that during Ramzan there is heavy traffic snarl in the locality causing hardship to residents and those who visit the market area for doing Eid and Ramzan shopping.

The move has been welcomed by the residents who said the new move will certainly help in decongesting the overcrowded Batla House market and save time for daily shoppers.
