I will send legal notice to MLA Amanatullah: Council-lor Danish while starting road carpeting work in Zakir Nagar

I will send legal notice to Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan for defaming me in the public, said Councillor Shoaib Danish while starting road carpeting work in Zakir Nagar on Monday afternoon.

While monitoring the work being done by MCD today, Councillor Danish blasted Okhla MLA and alleged that in a meeting a few days ago in Zakir Nagar he said he has more than 50 shops illegally. “I throw a challenge to him to prove his claim. I will file a legal notice to him for defaming me in public meeting,” he said.

He said as the MCD cannot pave road before five years the work was delayed.

For months, the opposition in Okhla has been slamming the Councillor of three terms for neglecting the locality with roads in pathetic state.

The OT carried several reports on the state of roads and infrastructure of the locality. It is understood that the patch work will end potholes on the road with daily commuters heaving a sigh of relief. It is a good move though came late, said a resident, adding that we hope that more such developmental works take place in the locality which has been crying for attention.
