Watch: Even Councillor office not safe, secure in Shaheen Bagh!

A robbery in Abul Fazal Enclave former Councillor Wajid Khan on Sunday early morning has left residents deeply worried. If Councillor Office is not safe and secure then what about other places in the locality, argued residents.

Wajid told the OT that it was on Sunday morning when he reached his office at Sarita Vihar-Kalindi Kunj road and he found the lock of his office door broken and papers thrown. “It was not a robbery case as other expensive items like inverter and other things were not taken away by the thief. It appears to be a targeted case as my laptop carrying document has gone missing and some documents. I filed a complaint and hope that the case will be cracked soon and the person will be arrested so that the conspiracy behind the robbery is revealed,” he said.

Wajid said his iPhone charger, laptop and some documents are missing.

Though he directly didn’t point fingers towards anyone but indirectly he referred to people who had grabbed media headlines following beating of a local leader on live TV debate at Kalindi Kunj a few days ago. Following the break-up of his office, carpenters were seen working to fix the broken doors.

Saud Khan said he hope that the case will be cracked soon.

This is not first robbery case in Okhla. From time to time residents have reported about theft cases. On Sunday, a thief had sneaked into a shop in Zakir Nagar. However, he was nabbed by alert residents and handed over to police, said a resident.

A few days ago another theft case was reported from Abul Fazal Enclave.
