    Congress gives tickets to these leaders in Okhla

    The Congress has announced the list for MCD poll 2022, giving ticket to Asif Md Khan’s daughter Ariba Khan from Abul Fazal Enclave ward, Shoaib Danish’s wife Nazia Danish from Zakir Nagar. From Madanpur Khadar West the party gave ticket to Vijay Pal, from Sarita Vihar Zaberia Mehfooz.

    The Congress turned out to be the last party to announce the list just on the night before the closure of nomination on Monday, according to sources.  And it is understood that the office will see a huge rush for nomination. The filing of nominations began on November 7 and the last date is November 14.

    From day one there was no doubt over Danish seat as he ruled Zakir Nagar for the last three terms. However, there was fight over Abul Fazal Enclave ward with Pervez Alam Khan, Engineer Gentle, Advocate Aarfa Khanum and others in the race.

    The list of 250 candidates was made public for the upcoming Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections on Twitter by Delhi Congress president Anil Chaudhary. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge OK’d the list of candidates.

    “I am pleased to announce the approved list of Congress candidates for the MCD Election 2022. Best wishes to all warriors,” he wrote on Twitter.

    The high-stakes Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections for 250 wards will be held on December 4 and votes will be counted on December 7.

    Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on November 16, while the last date for withdrawal of candidature is November 19.
