    NDTV journalist Munne Bharti bereaved, mourns father’s death

    NDTV journalist Munne Bharti, a resident of Okhla, has been bereaved. A few minutes ago he wrote on his timeline that his father passed away today. The body will be taken to Vaishali in Bihar at 3 pm, he wrote on his timeline.

    A resident of Shaheen Bagh, Munne Bharti is also chairman of Okhla Press Club which he floated a few months ago with his friends.

    He said his father suffered heart attack a few hours ago on Thursday morning. He was in ICU for the last few days and it was on Wednesday that we got him to our house and he passed away today, he said.

    96-year-old, Kalamuddin, a retired Assistant Commissioner Sales Tax working with the UP Government, had breathing issues six days ago and was hospitalised where after his condition improving he was discharged, said a family member.

    He was staying in Okhla for the last 23 years and had bought a land in Okhla 35 years ago in Abul Fazal Enclave. Born in Vaishali, Kalamuddin was posted in several districts of UP with his family, said his son, adding that his father had started working in 1947.

    He has left behind 91-year-old wife, 4 sons and 4 daughters. One son died years ago from cancer.

    His death was mourned as many journalists turned up at Munne’s house in Shaheen Bagh. Some friends of Munne shared the death information on their social media handle soliciting several mourning messages.
