Girl found dead under mysterious circumstances in Batla House

A girl was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Joga Bai in Batla House on Thursday morning, according to residents.

Youth leader Mahmood Ahmad said the door of the house at Joga Bai imambara was closed from inside. The exact date of the incident is not known but some residents noticed it after smell came out of the house today, said Mahmood, adding that the body of the 25-year-old girl was found on the floor. Local authorities were informed about the incident.

Mahmood, who was at the spot when authorities turned up at 9 am, said the body might have been in that state for the last two or three days as there was strong smell.

Also, Mahmood uploaded a video on his timeline a few hours ago and said the girl was residing on rent and working in Delhi as a fashion designer and was from a city in UP.

The body was taken for post-mortem with the deceased’s family members being informed about it, he said.

Some residents suspect it might be a suicide case.

However as probe is on it would be too early to jump to any conclusion, said a resident.

    More details are awaited.
