Hours after the report, Areeba rushed her team at 12 in the night to the spot where JCB was used to end the waterlogging, providing some relief to the residents temporarily.

The OT was the first to report about flooding of a stretch of Abul Fazal Enclave.

In the morning too Areeba’s team was seen working to address the issue.

However, the water was still on the road and residents and commuters were seen facing hardship. An AFE resident told this portal that Areeba’s team had visited the spot and told them that it might take two more days to find final solution to the whole mess.

Griraj from Areeba’s office, who was seen working with JCB, to clear the choked nallah, said it might take time and the flooding of sewer water was the result of dumping of mud during work by DJB, a claim that the OT was unable to authenticate independently.

Residents have been lamenting about poor condition in the locality since Areeba from Congress came to power by defeating AAP’s Wajid Khan.

Residents said dumping of garbage on roadside, sewer overflowing, dust and cleanliness are major issues bothering them. They said they had voted the Congress and Asif Md Khan’s daughter Areeba in the hope that situation will improve but till now no positive development has taken place.

Also, after the OT report, Areeba posted several photos of work happening in the locality driving home the point that efforts are being made to make the area clean. However, residents are not convinced and they said they expect more from the young Councillor.
