Amanatullah’s gesture wins hearts on Internet

Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan is being praised online for his generous act. Netizens are appreciating his work after he posted this message on his handle some three hours ago.

Save community journalism by paying Rs 500, 1,000 and more.

The MLA wrote: “One person named Vishwajeet, a resident of Taimoor Nagar jhuggi, had died in Lions Hospital. His overdue bill was Rs 1,53000 and due to which the hospital was not giving his body to the family. I went there and spoke to two doctors and convinced them to release the body so that the family members could complete last rites. I am thankful to the doctors that on my request the doctors released the body.”

This is not for the first time that the MLA and his team have interfered in lending a helping hand to poor patients. According residents, due to help from the MLA many among them have been able to avail medical benefits on EWS quota which before AAP came to power in Delhi was near to impossible.
