    Jamia’s Wahid adjudged best batsman of All India Vice Chancellor’s Cricket Cup T-20 Tournament

    Jamia’s Wahid wins best batsman of All India Vice Chancellor’s Cricket Cup T-20 Tournament

    Jamia Staff Cricket Team secured Runner-up position in 18th All India Vice Chancellor’s Cricket Cup T-20 Tournament – 2022 organised by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University (CCSHAU), Hisar from November 3-16, 2022.

    In the tournament total 26 teams participated from different universities of the country. In the league phase JMI won 4 matches out of 5 matches and defeated MDU Rohtak in Quarter-Final and Delhi University in Semi-Final.

    Final was played between JMI and Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCSHAU).  HAU won the toss and elected to bat first. HAU scored 164 runs in 20 over loosing 3 wickets. JMI scored 153 with the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and lost the match by 11 runs. Mohd Wahid from JMI scored 29 runs in 22 balls and Mohd. Akhlaq scored 32 runs in 27 balls. JMI bowlers Sarfaraz Masood, Mohd Wahid and Wajahat took one wicket each.

    Mohd Wahid of Jamia scored 351 runs and adjudged Best Batsman of the Tournament.
