Avoid Batla House from Okhla Head and Tikona Park, according to residents as demolition of two high-rise at TTI and Batla House has resumed again on Tuesday morning under heavy security presence.

The Tikona Park road is open but there is heavy traffic with residents using one road from both the sides. The demolition is part of anti-encroachment drive, according to reports.

The traffic situation is not as chaotic as it was on Monday when security forces and officials had arrived to carry the demolition drive by putting a barricade at Jamia Nagar Police Station, Okhla Head and Batla House. Only one route towards Batla House was open.

Residents said the situation is far better than Monday as policemen were seen clearing the road to avoid traffic gridlock. However, due to the barricading the traffic movement has slowed down, said residents.

After ending the demolition on Monday, the dismantling of the two buildings has started again and it is understood that it will be carried out until 6 pm. Several local builders were seen at the spot at TTI with some residents too there with work going on under heavy security deployment just like Monday, said residents.

The demolition drive is being carried out peacefully.
