    Camps for Divyangjan to be set up in all districts

    Camps for Divyangjan to be set up in all districts

    The Kejriwal government is setting up camps for Divyangjan in all the districts. Today, the Department of Social Welfare of the Delhi Government organised a disability camp at the Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital. Social Welfare Minister Rajendra Pal Gautam graced the occasion with his presence as the Chief Guest of the event.

    The Disability Camp included generating awareness and assured registration of the following – UDID, Disability Pension Scheme provided by District South of Department of Social Welfare, Concession of Railway Passes by Railway Department, Educational Counselling focussing on inclusive education programme of Directorate of Education, DTC passes by Delhi Transport Corporation, and 2 participating NGOs namely Samarthanam Trust and Amar Jyoti Trust distributing Tablets to 12th pass or Graduate girls, tricycles, wheelchairs and Crutches respectively.

    Support Community Journalism

    The Social Welfare Minister also distributed equipment, UDID cards, and Disability certificates to the beneficiaries.

    The following benefits were extended in the camp:

    DTC passes – 10 persons were registered and 9 passes issued.
    Railway – 25 persons were registered.
    Education Counselling – 17 persons were counselled.
    5.Samarthanam NGO – 10 persons were registered and 1 was given a Tablet.
    Amar Jyoti NGO – 1 wheelchair, 1 crutches and 1 tricycle.
    Handicap Pension – 18 persons were attended.
