Hugging her daughter and planting kisses on her, Alvira mother Nargis Imam said the family had expected such results from their hardworking and sincere daughter.

“She has topped in her school (New Horizon School, Nizamuddin, New Delhi) and is one of the top scorers in Humanities stream. She has scored 98 per cent in English, 95 per cent in History, 100 per cent in Political Science, 99 per cent in Psychology and 96 per cent in Sociology. She is also very active in extracurricular activities and has represented her school in various conferences and seminars. In future she wishes to join Administrative Services and serve her country,” said Alvira’s mother.

Since the results have been announced, there is no end to congratulatory messages to the family with neighbours in Shaheen Bagh too wishing the daughter good luck in her future endeavour keeping social distancing.

Alvira’s father Nazre Imam told OT that his daughter wants to crack civil services. She is very talented and hardworking and sincere and the family is more than hundred per cent sure that she has the capabilities to sail through if provided the right guidance, said Nazre.

And words of Alivira’s success have spread far with their relatives in Patna too celebrating the moment in the lockdown.

Talking to OT over phone, Alvira’s uncle Tanweer Ahmed, who is currently based in Patna, was all praise for her. Alvira is one of the brilliant students and we are proud of her achievements, he said.
