Anisur Rahman, who recovered from dengue only a few days ago, said in my family some six people contracted the infection. However, all among them have recovered, he said.

Last week saw 23 dengue cases and total tally of cases this year has crossed 1,000. Only one death has been reported from the infection in Delhi with resident being from Sarita Vihar.

The city recorded a total of 1,006 dengue cases this year until October 23, according to the data.

In 2015 when dengue cases were on rise, many people thought that goat milk will help in increase their platelet count. Then demand for giloy and papaya leaves, aloe vera and goat milk shot up in Delhi.

However, many doctors said there is no scientific proof that these help fight the disease, according to media report.
