    2nd Mehfil-e-Sukhan Mushaira 2021 held by Asian Literary Society

    The Asian Literary Society (ALS) is a literary community founded by writer Manoj Krishnan with the mission to promote Asian art, culture, and literature, and to spread its fragrance across the world. Recently, the Asian Literary Society organized the 2nd Mehfil-e-Sukhan Mushaira 2021 in New Delhi.

    Manoj Krishnan, founder, Asian Literary Society, inaugurated the event and welcomed all the participants that included many eminent and budding Urdu Poets from India and abroad.

    In this Mushaira, Ramshyam Haseen, Ameeta Parsuram, Renu Hussain, Mamta Kiran, Surekha Sahu, Suhaib Ahmad Farooqui, Lily Swarn, Charu Kapoor, Sumanpriya Sikka, Zeba Tabassum, Nivedita Roy, Shabbir Munawar, Anjali Srivastava, Sriramadasu Amaranath, Nimisha Singhal, Rajkumar Gupta, Aparna Pradhan, Balika Sengupta, Ranjeeta Ashesh, Ashkara Khanam, Umm E Salit, Nisha Tandon, Harpreet Kaur, Ajay Verma, Sheela Iyer, Ishrat Umar, and Praveen Gola Prajapati recited their verses through video streaming.

    These erudite and prolific poets from India and abroad enthralled the audience with their soulful recitations. Eminent Poet and Guest of Ambar Kharbanda shared interesting information about Urdu poetry in his session. He also congratulated the ALS team for organising this Mushaira.

    Anita Chand, Administrator, ALS moderated the live session, greeted all the poets, and boosted their morale. Founder Manoj Krishnan felicitated all the participants at the end of the event.

    Asian Literary Society had started Mehfil-e-Sukhan to promote Urdu Poetry last year. This year too, this mushaira received an overwhelming response from viewers from all over the world who applauded ALS and its initiative at the time of the coronavirus pandemic.
