    Eagle stuck in strings rescued by youths in Abul Fazal Enclave

    An eagle struggling to free itself from the string was rescued by some youths at Jamaat campus in Abul Fazal Enclave a few hours ago.

    “The bird was sitting in one place for the last two days. So today we approached it and on a closer look we saw that it was stuck with strings.

    “To get friendly with it, we offered it water and then we put cloth on the bird and cut the string. Following which the bird was a bit comfortable. We left it on the spot as its wing was injured. Later on the bird flew from the spot,” said Md Haider Sheikh, who with his friends rescued the bird.

    String is used in kite-flying. And it has been found that many a time birds often get wounded or killed after getting entangled in the strings.

    This is not the first case. A few months ago, a young eagle had fallen from the sky in the open field in Abul Fazal Enclave, severely hurting itself. Later on, bird rescuers were informed. Following which bird rescuer Shiraz Hussain turned up and rescued the bird and took it to a hospital where it recovered.
