A youth died in a road accident in Abul Fazal Enclave on Wednesday night, according to local residents. Details of the incident are still unclear, but residents have been circulating a short video on WhatsApp groups, claiming: “An accident took place at Abul Fazal Enclave No. 3 today around 8 pm, and a youth on a bike died on the spot. His identity is yet to be confirmed.”

Another resident, who was passing through Abul Fazal Enclave, said a bystander informed him about the accident. There has been no official confirmation so far.
Speaking to the OT over the phone, local AIMIM leader Amir said the youth appears to be from Shaheen Bagh, though details remain sketchy. “I am trying to get more details, and I’ve spoken to a few residents in Shaheen Bagh who assured me they would share more information after verifying the facts available on WhatsApp based on the video,” he said.

It is believed that residents were able to gather some information by tracing the bike’s registration number online.
In a fresh WhatsApp post, a resident reported that a youth died in a road accident.
“The Super Splendor bike, registered to a resident of Shaheen Bagh, was involved in the accident today at the Abul Fazal No. 3. At the time, it was being ridden by another youth, who was seriously injured and died on the spot. The deceased has not yet been identified. The body has been sent for postmortem. If anyone has any information, please inform the family or contact the Jamia Nagar police station [the area comes under Shaheen Bagh police station]. Kindly share this message widely so it can reach the family of the deceased.”
Since the OT could not independently verify the authenticity of the video, the portal chose not to share it due to its graphic content. Another important reason for withholding the video is to safeguard the privacy and dignity of the deceased, ensuring that sensitive images are not circulated irresponsibly, a practice widely regarded as unethical journalism.
However, Amir said the video has already been widely circulated on social media and is going viral, with many people discussing it.
