    Opportunity to pursue career in journalism

    MCJ Department of MANUU is offering admissions to postgraduate courses. Subjects like print media, electronic media, public relations, digital media and video production are being taught in this professional course MA MCJ. Attractive opportunities are available in the media industry and after graduating students can get employment, said the university.

    According to Professor Mohammad Fariyad, Head, Department of MCJ, the department has the best all-India standard infrastructure where students are provided with practical training in subjects and skills like reporting, editing, anchoring, video filmmaking, graphics, animation. Students gain practical work experience during the course by working for an experimental newspaper publication apart from video filmmaking.

    The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at Maulana Azad National Urdu University was established in the year 2004 and initially started with post graduate MA MCJ course. Later undergraduate BA JMC and four-year BA Honours were also introduced.

    Pass-outs of the department are serving in all major media houses in Hyderabad and across the country. The graduates of the department are also serving at Jamia Hamdard and are being honoured to work at Government of Uttar Pradesh, Government of West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Government of Kerala as well as serving at different International institutes in Middle East Region and US Embassy in New Delhi, said the university.
