    Zafar Sareshwala receives warm welcome in Jamia

    Zafar Sareshwala receives warm welcome in Jamia

    Parsoli Corporation owner Zafar Sareshwala received a warm welcome from the acting Vice Chancellor Prof. Eqbal Hussain and the Deans of Faculties of Studies in Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) today.

    Zafar Sareshwala is a renowned businessman and entrepreneur who has carved a niche in the world of commerce. A mechanical engineer by training and an expert in Islamic Banking and Finance has also been the former Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad.

    Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor spoke of Sareshwala’s immense contribution to the Islamic Finance space in India and abroad. He dwelt upon his extensive industry knowledge that has created value for the investors in the Islamic Equity Fund. He spoke about Sareshwala’s deep commitment to the socio-economic uplift of the Muslim community in India and to initiating socio-educational programmes for the minorities to create jobs for them and enable them to become self-employed.

    Thanking the Vice Chancellor for the warm reception accorded to him and his wife in Jamia, Zafar Sareshwala spoke of the need to foreground education for the Muslim community and drew attention to the importance of dialogue in the event of conflicts in human affairs.

    He observed that education plays a most pivotal role in shaping the destiny of humankind. He spoke about the initiatives that need to be taken to provide skill-oriented training to the youth of the nation to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

    On this occasion, the Deans talked about the academic programmes and new academic, research and welfare initiatives undertaken by the university to provide the students with learning informed by the latest developments in various domains of knowledge to realize the vision of ViksitBharat@2047
