According to a message shared by him, the Congress high command has given a new responsibility to Shibli Manzoor.

“After the approval of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the list of national office bearers of All India Congress Committee Minority Department has been released, in which Shibli Manzoor has been given the responsibility of National Joint Coordinator,” read the note.

This is not a new position to Shibli Manzoor as previously he was Vice President cum organisation incharge of Bihar State Congress Minority Department. Shibli Manzoor, a resident of Bhagalpur, has been active in student politics at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).

And while holding various social works and political positions, he has been contributing to the country and society, said a person close to him.

In his memorandum of thanks, Shibli Manzoor thanked the top Congress leadership Sonia Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, K Raju and especially Imran Pratapgarhi for giving him this important responsibility.

He said the Congress will continue to fulfill its commitment to strengthen the party and pursue politics of public interest.

The Congress is busy campaigning in five poll bound States, trying to improve its prospects so that it could have more say in the recently formed 28-party Opposition block, INDIA.
