In the video,Jamia Chief Proctor Professor Atiqur Rahman is also seen in action.

Video shows the Bulls snatching posters and taking away Palestine flags also alleged by students.

It could not be known whether the incident happened before the protestor after it as students can be seen delivering speeches and raising slogans insupport of Palestine.

The peaceful protest was called by AISA, along with DISCC, Fraternity Movement, SIO, MSU, and common students of Jamia for a protest in support of Palestine.

“The students of Jamia also support Palestine to honour the legacy of one of our founders Maulana Muhammad Ali Jauhar who fought for India’s Independence and is the only non-Arab person buried in Jerusalem, Palestine,” said the students’ group in a statement issued to the media.

“The protest occurred at Jamia’s Central Canteen at 2:30 pm, and was met with strong opposition from the Jamia administration headed by the Chief Proctor. The administration snatched the Palestinian flag and tore the posters to exert their power over the students standing in solidarity with the Palestinians. The protesting students were heckled by the guards while many of them were prohibited from entering the University campus,” said the students’ group.

Despite the administration oppressing the students and deploying police outside the university, the protest was successfully concluded as many students gathered to show their support towards Palestine, said students.
