Save community journalism by paying Rs 500, 1,000 and more.

The Jama Mosque has opened a charitable clinic for residents of the locality. Mosque’s imam Maulana Shamim Ahmed Qasmi told the OT that the clinic is open for all residents irrespective of their religion. The timing is 10 am to 1 pm and all pathological tests are done at 50 per cent discount, he said.

The noble initiative of the mosque has been highly appreciated by residents. Aseem Asha said this very welcome development.

They have certainly set a role model for other mosques in the locality to follow, he said.

This is not something new for many as one resident pointed out one such development in Bhiwandi where the mosque had opened the door to all in need of oxygen during corona crisis.
